Alice Arisu was born in 1987 in Milan.
She studies Cultural Heritage at the University of Milan.
She loves contemporary art, kitsch, vintage furnishings, England, writings and advertising. Her artistical approach is also bound to advertising: her images are prompt, straightforward, her sentences just like catchy slogans. She investigates the sphere of uneasiness in each of its forms: while dealing with others and with ourselves, whil (not) recognizing ourselves in a mirror, while living in a wrong body, whose hold we lost, or which has been violated; while seeing it corrupting outside and inside.
Recently, collage has given her the possibility to analyse the sad microcosm of female figure as it's seen by stereotypes and medias (not necessarily historical ones, besides the retro imagery), flattened and bound in a humiliating role.
To be analysed with bitter irony are thoughts and feelings of as smiling as false woman, distorted, living an unnatural life, imposed to them as unique (only? boh!) possible expression of femininity.

Adora l'arte contemporanea, il kitsch, l'arredamento vintage, l'Inghilterra, le scritte e la pubblicità. Pubblicitario è anche il suo approccio artistico: immagini chiare, dirette, frasi come slogan, ad effetto. Campo d'indagine è quello del disagio in tutte le sue forme: disagio inteso come malessere nei rapporti con gli altri, nell'affrontare se stessi, nel (non) riconoscersi allo specchio; disagio di ritrovarsi a vivere in un corpo sbagliato, che sfugge al controllo, o che è stato violato; disagio di vederlo corrompersi fuori trascinando con sé anche ciò che si è dentro. 
Recentemente, l'avvicinarsi al collage le ha permesso di indagare il triste microcosmo della figura femminile come voluta dallo stereotipo e dai media (non necessariamente storici, nonostante l'iconografia retrò), appiattita e costretta in un ruolo avvilente. Ad essere sondati con amara ironia sono pensieri e sentimenti di donne sorridenti quanto false, denaturalizzate, che vivono una vita innaturale, imposta loro come unica possibile espressione della femminilità.
